Welcome to Aptember, a brand born out of a passion for fashion and a desire to inspire. Aptember is the brainchild of a rediscovery of my childhood love for fashion. Tired of the confines of my 9-to-5 job, the birth of my daughter led me to a profound realization: to truly teach her to follow her dreams, I had to follow mine. While the demands of adulthood had led to my creative talents being set aside, I never forgot the joy of bringing my designs to life on paper.

One momentous day in September, with the unwavering encouragement of friends and family, I took a leap of faith and created Aptember—a name combining April, my birth month, and September, when the idea took shape. Initially, Aptember began by importing clothes, but it quickly became clear that to truly fulfill my vision, I needed to design and manufacture garments locally in Sri Lanka.

Starting Aptember meant leaving behind the security of a corporate career and stepping into the uncertain world of entrepreneurship. It was the toughest decision of my life, filled with social pressures and challenging questions. But my passion and determination to set an example for my daughter gave me the strength to persevere. 

Today, Aptember stands as a testament to the power of following one’s dreams. Our journey has been filled with challenges, but also incredible milestones, all made possible by the support of our loyal customers. We are committed to helping, supporting, and inspiring others who share the same dreams and struggles.
